Fitting your club sticker
If you have never fitted a vinyl sticker before, please take the time to read through the guide below and also watch the demonstration video. Familiarising yourself with the procedure will ensure your sticker goes on great and stays looking awesome for years to come.
1. Preparing for fitment
Before you do anything with the sticker you should prepare the surface that you are going to be applying it to. It is important that the following steps are carried out.
- Plan where you will put the sticker, use masking tape to mark a guide line if necessary on the glass or panel.
- Make sure the surface is clean and free from any dust, grease or polish. A good glass cleaner should be enough to prepare the surface.
- Ideally the glass should be warm, so fit it on a nice day or gently warm it with a hair dryer prior to fitting.
2. Remove the sticker backing.

Transfer tape covers the front of the sticker. It feels similar to masking tape and there will be a coloured dot on the tape to show the colour of the vinyl underneath. In the following steps you are going to separate the transfer tape from the backing paper. It is important you take your time to ensure all of the graphics and letters come away with the transfer tape.

Using a credit card or loyalty card, rub the surface of the transfer tape with a gentle pressure to ensure the tape has full adhesion to the vinyl sticker underneath.

Carefully lift one corner and peel the transfer tape back. This should be done with a slow steady hand. The vinyl sticker will come away with the tape, which is exactly what we want to happen.

If you notice any of the vinyl sticking to the backing rather than the transfer tape, give the tape another rub in that area with your card and then try again, it should now come away with the tape.

Once you have removed the tape completely, you can discard the backing paper and you’re ready to apply the sticker to you car.
2. Apply the sticker to the vehicle

Line up the sticker on the window of the vehicle, but do not press it against the glass, hold it slightly away to position it.

Gently press the left edge of the sticker to the window, holding the right side away from the glass.

Use the card to press the sticker evenly on to the window sliding it slowly left to right, this will ensure no bubbles or creases. Once the sticker is completely applied, run the card over the sticker back and forth a few times to ensure complete adhesion to the glass.

Starting in the top corner, slowly peel back the transfer tape. This time the vinyl will stay on the glass. If, as you are removing the tape, any of the vinyl lifts with the tape then lay it back against the glass and rub firmly with the card in that area to stick it to the glass before continuing with tape removal.

Once the sticker is applied, it is permanent and should last 5-7 years* without fading etc. Take care when using a jet wash near the sticker as it may start to lift. Also avoid chemical cleaners to avoid fading and loss of adhesion.
